Christina House is an associate with Akerman, LLP in the firm’s consumer finance services practice group in the Houston Office. Christina defends mortgage lenders, servicers, and other financial services providers against borrower complaints alleging violations of federal and state statutes, California Homeowner Bill of Rights, wrongful foreclosures, and debt collection statutes.
Prior to joining Akerman, he was a judicial intern for The Honorable Kenneth Hoyt in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas. She also interned for The Honorable Terry Jennings in the Texas First Court of Appeals. Christina earned a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Medicine from the University of the Incarnate Word and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Thurgood Marshall School of Law where she served a Lead Articles Editor for the Thurgood Marshall Law Review.
She has served as Houston Young Lawyers Association’s Tomorrow’s Attorney Pipeline Program co-chair and a member of the Houston Bar Association.
