Election Protection Hotline Needs Additional Volunteers!

Calling all lawyers, law students, and legal professionals! The Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law and Lawyers & Collars seek legal volunteers to remotely staff the 833-4-TRNOUT hotline (1-833-487-6688) on Election Day November 3rd.

The hotline provides assistance to pastors and church-based lawyers with voting questions in the states of Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. Volunteers must complete a two-hour on-demand training, including how to access the hotline's technology remotely. Support is provided to the volunteers via a "captain" during their shift and “user guides” and substantive information on voting. The Lawyers’ Committee is the client for the Lawyers & Collars project.

NBA YLD has been specifically asked to provide volunteers for this project! Volunteers can be lawyers, law students, or legal professionals from any state. If you are interested in volunteering:

Step 1: Immediately sign up for two (2) shifts before Election Day (Nov. 3) here
Step 2: Email Chair Williams at Chair@nbayld.org to sign up for an Election Day shift.
